Costumes and backgrounds vary a little from portrait to portrait. Your pet's face, fur colors, and markings are what we work hardest to keep true to your photo.

Every print includes the digital file. We create your proof in the shape of the format you order, so what you approve is what gets printed.

Shipping
Free shipping on every print to the 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Prints ship within 5 business days after you approve your proof, and US delivery takes 2–5 business days after that. You'll get a tracking number by email. Short on time? The digital file is the fastest option.
Photo tips
- A color photo. Black-and-white photos can't be used, because we'd have to guess your pet's fur colors.
- The whole face, with both eyes visible.
- Good, even light. Daylight near a window is perfect.
- Not cropped tight. Include the ears and chest, or we have to invent them.
Dogs and cats only for now. No people in the portrait, please.

Start their portraitWill it actually look like my pet?
That’s the whole point. We work to keep your pet’s breed, fur colors, markings, eye color, ears, nose and face shape true to your photo. Costumes, crowns and backgrounds are invented to fit the style. You see a proof before anything is printed and can ask for free changes until you love it.
What photo works best?
- A color photo. Black-and-white photos can’t be used, because we’d have to guess the fur colors.
- Your pet’s whole face, with both eyes visible.
- Good, even light. Daylight near a window is great.
- Not cropped tight. If the ears or chest are cut off, they have to be invented.

How fast will I get it?
Your proof arrives by email within 24 hours of your order, as long as we have a photo we can work with. After you approve it, digital files are delivered within 24 hours. Canvases are made within 2–5 business days of your approval, and US delivery takes 2–5 business days after that. The estimated arrival date under the Add to cart button does this math for you.
Can I get it in time for Halloween?
Yes, with the digital file. Halloween digital orders close Oct 29 at 11:59 pm ET, which leaves time for your proof and a revision before October 31. A canvas needs 2–5 business days of production after you approve, plus 2–5 business days of shipping, so check the estimated arrival date under the Add to cart button before counting on one for Halloween.
How do revisions work?
Reply to your proof email and tell us what to change: likeness tweaks, expression, colors, background details, a different photo of the same pet, or even another of our styles. Revisions are free until you approve.
What if I don’t love it?
Tell us what’s off and we’ll revise it for free. You can cancel for a full refund any time before you approve your proof. After you approve, your portrait is made just for you, so we can’t take change-of-mind returns, but if a print arrives damaged or misprinted, send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we’ll replace it for free.
What do I get with each format?
Digital file: a high-res file by email once you approve your proof. Canvas: stretched canvas, 0.75 in deep, in 12 × 16, 18 × 24 or 24 × 36 in. Framed canvas: the 18 × 24 or 24 × 36 in canvas in a Black or Espresso frame, 1.25 in deep. Every canvas includes the digital file, and US shipping is free.
Where do you ship?
We ship prints free within the United States. We can’t ship outside the US yet. Digital files arrive by email, so they work anywhere.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Enter their address as the shipping address at checkout. Short on time? The digital file arrives by email once you approve your proof, which makes it a great last-minute gift.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make your portrait. It’s shared only with the services we use to create your portrait and, for canvases, our print partner, and we delete it within 90 days after delivery. Want it gone sooner? Email us. We never use your photo or portrait in our marketing unless you tick the optional box on the product page, which is always unticked by default.
Which pets can you do?
Dogs and cats. Your portrait can hold more than one: add each extra pet right on this page, up to four in one portrait. Three or four rulers in one house? The Royal Court is made for groups. No people for now (sorry, humans).
Who owns the portrait?
It’s yours to display, print, frame and share for personal use, with no time limit. We can’t promise exclusive copyright in the artwork, but we’ll never sell or license your portrait to anyone else.
Why are the portraits on this site labeled “Example”?
Because they are examples. We made them from licensed stock photos of dogs and cats to show you our styles. They aren’t customer pets, and we’ll never present them as customer photos or reviews.
